Hotel, Motel, and Short-Term Rental Occupancy Taxes

Businesses operating hotels, motels, short-term rentals, inns, lodges, tourist camps, tourist cabins, bed-and-breakfasts, and similar lodging establishments are required to collect occupancy taxes from guests.

Filing and Payment Requirements

Occupancy taxes must be remitted to the City on or before the 20th day of each month for the preceding calendar month.

Each payment must be accompanied by a completed Hotel, Motel, and Short-Term Rental Occupancy Tax Return .

Vendor Credit

Returns paid on or before the monthly due date are eligible for a vendor credit equal to 3% of the taxes collected.

Late payments will forfeit the vendor credit and may be subject to penalties and interest as outlined on the tax return form.
