Must Appear Offenses

Mandatory Court Appearance Offenses

The following offenses require a mandatory court appearance and cannot be resolved through online payment alone:

  • Aggressive driving
  • All City nuisance offenses
  • All alcohol-related offenses except open container violations
  • All code enforcement and environmental compliance violations
  • All defendants under the age of 21
  • All drug offenses
  • Any charge that may result in jail time or driver’s license suspension
  • Attempting to elude a police officer
  • Hit and run
  • Habitual violator offenses
  • No insurance
  • Passing a loading or unloading school bus
  • Possession of a concealed weapon
  • Racing
  • Reckless driving
  • Shoplifting
  • Speeding 30 mph or more over the posted speed limit
  • Driving with a suspended license
  • Suspended registration
  • Vehicular homicide or serious injury charges

Important: Defendants under the age of 21 must appear in court and should bring a parent, legal guardian, or proof of emancipation.

The 14th Annual Rockin’ the Runway is a fashion show fundraiser benefiting The Drake House, empowering women and children experiencing homelessness. Along with the Fashion Show, there will be tasty bites from Sandy Springs’ best restaurants, a pop-up shop, and an auction.
