Sandy Springs to Host Powers Ferry Transportation Study Public Open House

The City of Sandy Springs is approaching the conclusion of its study into options to enhance the Powers Ferry area transportation network. The City invites the community to attend the meeting to learn more about this study and provide input on the draft recommendations. An initial public input meeting was held on August 14, 2023.

When:              Thursday, February 22, 2024

                           6 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Where:             Sandy Springs City Hall, 1 Galambos Way, Sandy Springs, GA 30328

What:               There will be a brief presentation followed by the open house. The presentation will begin at 6:15 p.m.  

Additional Information

The purpose of the study is to conduct a transportation evaluation of the Powers Ferry area, and identify improvements to support pedestrian, bicycle, transit, and vehicular travel.

The study builds upon the improvements identified in the Next Ten Comprehensive Plan and Powers Ferry Small Area Plan, which established a vision for the area as a multi-modal, connected, neighborhood-scale district with improved retail, commercial uses, and natural resource amenities.
