Sandy Springs to Host Second Roswell Road Safety Public Information Meeting

Help Plan for a Safer Roswell Road

SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. (June 2, 2022) – The City of Sandy Springs will host a second community meeting as it continues the process of identifying improvements to enhance the long-term safety of Roswell Road. The community will have the opportunity to provide input on the proposed safety improvements.

The plan builds upon the Next Ten Comprehensive Plan and Roswell Road Small Area Plan, which established a vision for Roswell Road as a “boulevard” with safer access for motorists, pedestrians, and cyclists.

WHEN: Thursday, June 23, 6-8 p.m.

WHERE: Sandy Springs City Hall, Studio Theatre, 1 Galambos Way, Sandy Springs, Ga. 30328.

The study of the Roswell Road corridor spans from Meadowbrook Drive to Dunwoody Place and will encompass a comprehensive analysis of safety deficiencies, inefficient turning movements, and other aspects of the street network and built environment that impede mobility and connectivity.

The final plan will include a phased list of projects, costs, and other implementation guidance for helping the City of Sandy Springs achieve its ultimate vision for the Roswell Road corridor. The implementation plan will identify short-term and long-term improvements.

The presentation, displays, and an online public input mapping survey will be posted on the City’s website following the meeting. Public input will be accepted until Thursday, July 14. For more information and to access the survey, please visit spr.gs/accessroswell.
