Designed to expose the group to the recent Hamas attacks and to equip them to counter the rise of antisemitism in their communities at home, the visit included meetings with city leaders of Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Sederot, Ofakim, and Modiin Maccabim-Reut. The delegation also visited Kibbutz Be’eri and the site of the Nova Festival and met with survivors and family members of the victims of October 7 Hamas attacks.

“This opportunity was eye-opening and what I experienced weighs on my heart,” said Mayor Paul. “I had conversations with hostage families, ate dinner with the former mayor of Kfar Vrdem, one of our sister cities in Galilee, and listened as he recounted the challenges in the north. I feel it is important to share my experience and learnings with our community, and I look forward to the thoughtful discussion.”
