Build Seminars

Build Seminars are presented by the Community Development department to educate the public on the current policies, procedures, and expectations of the City of Sandy Springs as it relates to construction within the jurisdiction. The information presented in these seminars is subject to change with new Code adoptions, City ordinances and zoning, and office policy as it relates to current construction trends.

      Attend the next BUILD: SANDY SPRINGS seminar to discuss how to achieve a continuous load path with proper installation of metal straps, ties, and holdowns that meet the 2018 International Residential Code.  We will also have live demonstrations of how to properly install these devices and will also test them to failure in order to show why proper installation is critical to maintaining full design capacity.
    • All builders, framers, and homeowners are strongly encouraged to attend.
