Diversity and Inclusion Task Force
Reinforcing the City’s commitment to inclusivity, Sandy Springs Mayor Rusty Paul appointed members to the Sandy Springs Diversity and Inclusion Task Force during the February 2, 2021, Sandy Springs City Council meeting.
The Task Force assists the City Council in promoting inclusivity throughout Sandy Springs.

About the Task Force
Jim Bostic Jr., Managing Director of HEP & Associates, serves as Task Force Chair.
Mr. Bostic previously worked with Georgia-Pacific Corporation and has served on several boards, including KIPP Metro Atlanta Schools, Clemson University, Tuskegee University, and Wofford College. He also previously served on the Georgia State Board of Education and the President’s Commission on White House Fellowship.
Task Force Members
- Desmond X. Curry — Legal research professional and billing specialist with Rubin Lublin. Studied Business Administration at Auburn University.
- Raquel Gonzalez — City Clerk for the City of Sandy Springs. Graduate of Spelman College with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science.
- Rabbi Joshua Heller — Rabbi at Congregation B’nai Torah since 2004 and graduate of Harvard University and the Jewish Theological Seminary.
- Nicole Morris — Professor at Emory University School of Law with academic and professional experience in law and chemistry.
- Reverend Dr. Bill Murray — Rector of Holy Innocents’ Episcopal Church with degrees in economics, literature, theology, and ministry.
- Salvador (Sal) Ortega — Public Information Officer for the Sandy Springs Police Department with more than 14 years of law enforcement experience.
- Jose Osorio — Assistant Principal at Lake Forest Elementary School and founding board member of LAPPS.
- Olivia Rocamora — Spanish Department Chair and Spanish Immersion Program Coordinator at The Weber School.
- Clarissa Sparks, MSM — Founder and Brand Strategist for Sparks + Company and instructor for the Bank of America Institute for Women’s Entrepreneurship through eCornell.
