Help Write the Next Chapter: The Next Round of Comprehensive Plan and Recreation & Parks Master Plan Meetings Set for August
July 27, 2026
The City of Sandy Springs invites residents, business owners, community organizations, and other stakeholders to participate in two upcoming public meetings as work continues on the City's next Comprehensive Plan and Recreation & Parks Master Plan.
Community members are encouraged to attend either of the following meetings in August:
Monday, August 17
6 –8 p.m.
Church of the Redeemer
5185 Peachtree Dunwoody Road
Thursday, August 20
6 –8 p.m.
Sandy Springs Municipal Complex
620 Morgan Falls Road
Both meetings will feature the same presentation and interactive activities. The location of the meeting on August 17 features a playground, so parents are encouraged to bring the whole family.
These meetings provide an opportunity for participants to discuss community needs and opportunities related to land use, transportation, housing, economic development, parks and recreation, sustainability, and other topics that will help guide Sandy Springs over the next 20 years. Feedback gathered during the meetings will help shape the vision, goals, and recommendations for both the Comprehensive Plan and Recreation & Parks Master Plan.
Community engagement will continue beyond the public meetings through a dedicated online engagement hub that serves as a central resource for the planning process. The hub includes project information, updates, upcoming engagement opportunities, and online activities that allow community members to participate on their own time. Materials and activities from each public meeting, including the upcoming August workshops, will also be posted online to ensure that those unable to attend in-person meetings have opportunities to share ideas and stay involved throughout the process.
