What is TSPLOST

The Transportation Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (TSPLOST) is a 0.75% - equal to three-quarters of one penny on each dollar - sales tax collected in Fulton County cities, outside of the Atlanta city limits.

TSPLOST revenues may only be used for eligible transportation purposes, including congestion relief, operations and safety improvements, pedestrian and bike improvements, and roadway projects.

TSPLOST 2026

On November 3, 2026, voters will decide on a renewal of the Transportation Special Local Option Sales Tax. If approved, it will fund projects through 2032.

The City of Sandy Springs presented proposed projects in a series of public meetings. The list of proposed projects was approved by City Council and presented to Fulton County for inclusion in the upcoming TSPLOST renewal referendum.

Public Involvement

A series of open houses were held to provide residents with opportunities to learn more about projects proposed for the upcoming TSPLOST renewal and provide input on future improvement projects throughout Sandy Springs.

On November 3, 2026, Sandy Springs voters will decide on a renewal of the Transportation Special Local Option Sales Tax (TSPLOST) to fund projects through 2032.

If approved, TSPLOST 2026 will fund:

• Bridge improvements
• Congestion relief projects
• Operations and safety improvements
